These icons mean that pets are negotiable at this property. It means that pets will be considered when we are processing your application, but we might decide that your specific pet will not work at this property. Pets are considered a part of your application so when approving an application we are looking at all aspects (credit, rental history, employment) when making a decision about approval. The pet symbol does not automatically mean your pet will be accepted, it means your pet will be look as part of your application and taken into consideration as if you would be a good fit for that rental home.

Each of our homes has a different owner with different policies on pets. Please keep in mind that if you and your pet don't work on for one home we can try again on another home. Read all about our pet polices here.

If you are approved with a pet keep in mind there may be a pet deposit or pet rent added onto your lease agreement. The pet deposit is usually $250 for the first pet and $100 for each additional pet. Pet rent can also be charged per month instead or in addition to a pet deposit. The pet rent would be decided per property but is usually $20-35/month/pet. Read all about our pet polices here.

Every applicant 18 and older will need to submit a separate application. Naming your fellow roommates/applicants on the application will help us to associate them with one another. We submit all roommate applicants for review as a group.

Scroll to the top of the page, and you will see a "Processing" status. Wait for the processing to finish.

Why is it telling me my application fee payment didn't go through?

Make a note of that on the application. A landlord reference isn't necessary if you own your current home.

They are the same form, but personal references only need to fill out the Comments section.

Not every applicant needs a Guarantor. A Guarantor is most helpful when an applicant lacks income or credit history, or when the applicant will not be paying rent themselves. A Guarantor does not, however, make up for bad credit. It is recommended that Guarantor are not shared between applicants, whenever possible, as it doubles the Guarantor's financial responsibility.

Most official documents stating a date from the past month, amount paid, and name of employer/applicant are accepted. This includes paystubs, contracts, W-2s, and bank statements (if clear). We prefer paystubs.

Once all required documents and credit checks have been received and processed, your application is sent in for review. At this point, we typically have a decision ready on your application in one to two business days, depending on the number of other applicants under review. You will receive an email detailing our decision, as soon as it has been made. Al check out our Application Status Page

We understand how important it is to keep your personal info safe. We do require a social security number to be on each application. It is necessary to run a credit report. If you do not provide your social security number, your application will be considered incomplete.

If you do not have rental history or employment, you can fill in required boxes with na@noemail.com or 000-000-0000 for any phones. Any other required info boxes that do not apply to you can also be filled in with NA or you can put 0000s in for numbers.

If you do not know someone's email address you can put in na@noemail.com. This will allow the system to continue with your application.

If you are not currently employed, make sure to put Unemployed in Employer name, you will need to put in your current address as the employer address and 000-000-0000 for the phone number.

We do require you to put down personal references. Think of a friend, family member or co-worker who we can call and get a quick reference from.

If you have a guarantor make sure to fill in their information in the Guarantor section of the application. We will also need to get the guarantor application and agreement, which can be found here. Don't forget to also include their ID and proof of income.

Unfortunately we need all applications to be filled out online through our website. If you do not have access to a computer, you can use our designated application computer Monday-Friday between the hours of 12-2. There are also public computers at the Chico Library.
